The Thar Dry Port popularly known as ICD Sanand a Unit of Hasti Petro Chemical and Shipping Ltd, becomes the first and the only ICD to receive permission for movement of double stack containers on existing BG low platform container wagon type BLCA/BLCB for its ICD at SANAND
from ports of Mundra and Pipavav.

ICD “The Thar Dry Port” – SANAND in its continuous effort to facilitate a variety of services under one roof, is in advanced stages of completion of its own 3 Rail siding (PFT) within its terminal to efficiently handle container trains which will ensure faster turn-around of containers saving both time and cost for shippers and Shipping lines. This will also directly affect the operational output of ICD Sanand which is on rise since inception and is fast becoming the most preferred ICD in this region. This will also reduce dwell time of import laden units thereby reducing terminal congestion at Ports. Moreover it will also increase revenue for Customs and Indian Railways

The first train movement of double stack container train from Pipavav to ICD The Thar Dry Port – Sanand was successfully carried out on train no KRIL 03 carrying 180 TEU’s. The train was placed at 10:10 am at SANAND ICD and was offloaded within 2:40 minutes.

HPCSL is a signatory to the Vibrant Gujarat 2007 and 2010.ICD at Sanand is the culmination of an MOU signed between HPCSL and the Government of Gujarat ICD Sanand handled more than 3500 TUEs in March 2011 including 2200 EXIM cargo within 18 months of its inception

A State of Art new customs block admeasuring 6000 Sq ft at ICD -The Thar Dry Port – SANAND (unit of Hasti Petro Chemicals and Shipping Limited) was inaugurated by the Hon’able Chief Commissioner of Customs Shri H K Jain and Hon’able Commissioner of Customs Shri A K Pawar on 9th June, 2012.
